Museum Ludwig, Cologne
Through Mar 1, 2020
Guyton’s twenty-year retrospective proves the ongoing relevance of the artist’s questioning of what constitutes an image or artwork in contemporary art production.
Natsuko Uchino, “Scobies”
Galerie Allen, Paris
Through March 14, 2020
Natsuko Uchino explores new generative forms of economy through bacteria and yeast cultures, food, and traditional materials such as clay.
Yuan Jai
Centre Pompidou / MNAM-CCI, Focus space, level 5
Trough April 27, 2020
Yuan Jai, who lives in Taiwan, worked in the Department of Antiquities of the National Palace Museum, where she organized — and later on, directed — the conservation department for thirty years before retiring and focusing on her art practice. It’s interesting to see a curator becoming an artist, and I really appreciate the intellectual approach of Catherine David.
