Opening on May 18, 2013 at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv, China China is a group show of eleven Chinese artists from different generations. The show will focus on the tension between the individual and the group – a prominent subject in both Chinese history and contemporary society.
As the title implies, China China is about two Chinas – the present and the past, but also considers how we should look at the future.
The exhibition includes the works of Cao Fei, Yang Fudong, Zhang Huan, Ai Weiwei, Yan Xing, Sun Xun, Zhao Yao, Sun Yuan & Peng Yu, Zhao Zhao, Chen Zhen and Xu Zhen.
PinchukArtCentre is the largest private contemporary art centre in Central and Eastern Europe. It is dedicated to fostering artistic education, creation and appreciation in the Ukraine. China China runs from May 18 – October 6, 2013.
