Regen Projects expands / Los Angeles

On 22 September, Regen Projects, among the most influential galleries of the West Coast, founded in 1989, expanded and moved to a new location situated in the heart of Hollywood at Santa Monica Boulevard.

The new elegant 20,000 square foot building was designed by Los Angeles architect Michael Maltzan and will allow for larger scale exhibitions, back of house operations, and a private outdoor sculpture deck.

The new building opened with an inaugural show of established gallery artists and also introduced artists that have recently joined the program, including Doug Aitken, Matthew Barney, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Dan Graham, Anish Kapoor, Toba Khedoori, Gabriel Kuri, Liz Larner, Glenn Ligon, Scott McFarland, Marilyn Minter, Catherine Opie, Manfred Pernice, Raymond Pettibon, Elizabeth Peyton, Lari Pittman, Willem de Rooij, Gary Simmons, Wolfgang Tillmans, Ryan Trecartin, Gillian Wearing, Lawrence Weiner, James Welling, Sue Williams, and Andrea Zittel.
