Sixth edition of PAD London

October 9, 2012

Coinciding with London’s Frieze Art Fair (11 – 14 October), the 6th edition of PAD London takes place (10 – 14 October).

Known for its mix of modern art, design, decorative arts, photography and tribal art, this year’s edition includes 60 leading galleries from Europe, the USA and Asia, as well as 18 new participants. Organized by the Société d’Organisation Culturelle (SOC) which was founded in 1996 by Patrick Perrin to support quality in the arts, and will take place in Berkeley Square.

2012 also marks the launch of the PAD Prize granted by Moët Hennessy. The Prize will be presented to a UK-based designer under 35 whose work will be selected by an expert panel, chaired by Nigel Coates, for its “exceptional creative qualities, refined used of materials, and its ability to reflect the artful spirit of contemporary design”. British architect and designer Nigel Coates, President of the Jury, comments: “This prestigious Prize brings together the incredible talent that designers in this country have to offer and the aspiration of PAD London to promote that talent. Although the UK has some of the best and most competitive art and design colleges, we don’t always have the industry to match it.”For full list of exhibitors: www.pad-fairs.com
