Cattelan at the Guggenheim New York

The SolomanR.GuggenheimMuseum will dedicate an exhibition to Maurizio Cattelan titled “All”; a retrospective curated by Nancy Spector presenting 20 years of the artist’s art and provocation.

From the November 4 until the January 22 there will be 130 works on show in a site-specific installation created by Cattelan himself in the Guggenheim rotunda.

The museum has announced in a press release that it will host the annual Guggenheim International Gala on Thursday, November 10, in celebration of Cattelan’s exhibition. Tickets for the after- party cost 200 euros

In association with the Guggenheim International Gala, Phillips de Pury & Company will host a benefit auction on Monday November 7 with a series of important works from Cattelan and other leading contemporary artists who have donated their work to the Guggenheim to benefit the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.

The list includes work by Cai Guo-Qiang, George Condo, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Subodh Gupta, Jenny Holzer, Idris Khan, Bharti Kher, Lee Bul, Lee Ufan, Nate Lowman, Adam McEwen, Richard Phillips, Rob Pruitt, Sterling Ruby, Doris Salcedo, Richard Serra, Francesco Vezzoli, Lawrence Weiner e Haegue Yang. Funds raised from the gala and auction will support the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
